Garbage collection

The Town of Erin does not provide municipal garbage collection services. Residents must contact privately for this service.

Recycling

The recycling center, located behind the Hartford Town Hall at 3360 Co. Hwy. K, is open for towns of Erin and Hartford residents only on Thursdays, 2-6 pm and Saturdays, 8 am-noon. Please have a photo ID when dropping off materials. A copy of the recycling center rules and acceptable items are available at the recycling center and in the Hartford Town Hall office. Recyclable items are taken during open hours only. Your help in keeping our recycling area clean is appreciated. No unauthorized dumping outside of recycling hours.

City of Hartford will take Waste oil only from Erin residents. It can be dropped off at the Recycling Center at 710 W. Sumner Street. Hours are Thursday 5pm – 7pm and Saturday 9am – noon. This is the only item you can drop off.

Brush Pit

The brush-only pit, located at 2291 Hwy. 83, is open April through November on the second Saturday of each month, 8 am-noon, or by calling Dave 414-750-9529 for an appointment. The town does not pick up brush.
