Zoning Clerk/Deputy Clerk
The Town of Erin seeks a part-time Zoning Clerk/Deputy Clerk. (20 hours a week) Zoning Clerk responsibilities involve working with town residents/landowners on zoning-related matters, including but not limited to understanding and sharing zoning ordinance requirements, conducting initial review of conditional uses, variances, rezonings, certified survey maps, and coordinating activities of the Plan Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals including developing meeting agendas and minutes. The Zoning Clerk works closely with the Zoning Administrator and Building Inspector. Deputy Clerk responsibilities include supporting the Town Clerk for elections and vacations and other duties as assigned. Successful applicants will be highly organized, computer literate and have exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of the zoning process is helpful, but not required.
